THESIS - Investigative interview of online sex offenders: A Game Theory perspective
In my research thesis, I apply a Game theory perspective to understand the behavioral economics of the interaction between the police officer and the suspect. I contribute to a shift in methodologies and theoretical perspectives by observing the strategic exchanges through the behaviors of both participants. It allows a dynamic interaction analysis of the disclosure process of online sexual offenders. One of the most important findings is the important impact of time on behaviors, measured by the influence’s lag of the different strategies on suspect’s disclosure.

IMPLICATIONS
- 2020 - Ongoing Member of the organizing committee for the annual meeting of the Society for Police and Criminal Psychology (Conference of 2022). https://www.policepsychology.org/conference
The Society for Police and Criminal Psychology is an eclectic professional organization that encourages the scientific study of police and criminal psychology and the application of scientific knowledge to problems in criminal justice. It focuses on law enforcement, judicial, and corrections elements in criminal justice. Members of the Society study the full range of human behaviors, motivations, and actions within the framework of the criminal justice system. Consequently, the Society encourages input from psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists, lawyers, police officers, corrections personnel, and other professionals concerned with the criminal justice system. - 2018 - Ongoing Scientific director and member of the organizing committee for the annual conferences of the Open-Source Analysis and Development Research Group, Montréal, Canada. https://gardeso.com/
Created in 2015, Gardeso aims to be a key player in the development and sharing of technological resources and tools for open source data research. In partnership with various public and private actors, Gardeso aims to promote the application of university research in various practical settings concerned with the analysis and exploitation of data available in open source.
- 2018 - 2021 Head of the Academic Seminar for the School of Criminology’s graduate students, Université de Montréal. https://saecs.weebly.com/
The Academic Seminar for the School of Criminology’s graduate studentsaims to gather students and improve their experience in higher education. We do that by organizing activities on academic subjects (e.g., training for a certain methodology) and on personal matters (e.g., how to have a balance life as students). It has proven to be very unifying and particularly helpful during the pandemic. The activities organized led to mentorship of the students for doctoral examination and conferences.
- 2018 - Ongoing Founder and president of the Research on Police Investigation Conference(OSBL). https://www.crep-ul.com/
The Research on Police Investigation Conference (Congrès sur la Recherche en Enquête Policière) aims to present a specialised workshop for students’ presentations who often misfit in other types of conferences. It aims to gather the practitioners from police forces and scholars which create the opportunity to discuss the practitioners’ needs and keep them posted on the most recent scientific results. It also gives the opportunities for networking, development of partnership and ultimately improvement of police practices and of the quality of applied research in this field.
